We have made a wonderful start to our Autumn Term.

In Forest School we explored the story Stick Man by Julia Donaldson and collected natural resources to retell our favourite parts of the story.

In Come And See we have been exploring Creation and Our Global Family. We retold the story of creation from the Book of Genesis and then explored what this gift tells us about God's love for us.

Here are some examples of our artwork from the Autumn Term. We have been exploring still life and the work of Paul Cezanne and Kandinsky. We also explored warm and coll colours aas well as mixing primary colours to create secondary colours.

In History we have been learning all about significant people and what makes someone a significant historical figure.

We were given the task to research a famous character from history. Findout why they were significant and create a presentation to teach others in our class all about them.

We even came to school dressed as our chosen characters!

Here are some more of us in our amazing costumes... Can you guess some of the significant historical people that we have chosen?

As part of our multi faith fortnight we learned all about Buddhism. We had a special visitor who created a Buddhist museum in the hall with artefacts, music, and taught us all about the Buddhist faith. Then we learned all about how a Buddhist prays. It was a great few days.

In English we were learning all about instructional writing. We created our own instructions to make a jam sandwich... We then used the to guide our partners and evaluated how good they were! We even got to eat the sandwiches!!

As it was nearly Christmas we explored Christmas treat in

Food Technology. We researched Chocolate treats and decised upon a chocolate Christmas reindeer. We looked at designs and then created instructions of how to make one! Our finished Christmas reindeers were really cool and delicious!
