Our school dinners here at St Joseph's are excellent, with all of the meals freshly made on site every day for our children to enjoy.

Please click here for our latest Four Choice Menu below.

All menus are designed to meet the national nutritional standards so that the children of Rotherham benefit in receiving the all the required elements for their growth and development.

Prices are £2.40 per day.

Paying for School Meals

If your child has school dinners they should be paid for during the same week. As we are now a cashless school, payments for school dinners must be made via the SchoolMoney Online Payment System, or at a Paypoint location. More information about the SchoolMoney Payment System can be found on the SchoolMoney website.

If you are unable to pay on time, please contact the school.

Free School Dinners
Paper proof of benefits is no longer required to process a claim for Free School Meals. Proof will only be needed if entitlement cannot be confirmed through our systems. There is a new application form that can be completed online which can be found by visiting the following link: Apply for free school meals

Packed Lunch

Packed lunches should be brought to school each day and placed on the lunch trolley in classrooms. Hot meals in thermos flasks are not permitted in school.

We have children and adults in school with nut and kiwi allergies. Please do not send packed lunches into school containing either of these and bear this in mind when sending food for trips or birthdays.

As we are a healthy school, please do not send items in lunch boxes which have limited nutritional value such as fizzy drinks, chocolates or sweets. Fizzy drinks are also prone to spray over other children on opening.

All wrappers/leftovers will be returned home in lunch boxes to inform parents of amount eaten/uneaten.

Water bottles

Plastic water bottles may be brought to school to re-hydrate during lesson time and can be filled from the school water taps. For safety reasons, glass bottles or cans of drink must not be brought to school.

Bagels for ALL Children - Every day!

St Joseph’s is proud to be in partnership with Magic Breakfast, providing healthy breakfasts to our pupils so that they are settled and ready to learn.

Magic Breakfast provides St Joseph’s with nutritious breakfast food to ensure children start their school day in the best possible way. Breakfast gives children the energy needed for the busy school morning, enabling them to focus on their lessons.

The bagels are served in the classroom, offering every child great fuel for learning.

Research has shown that children who have a healthy breakfast achieve more at school – make sure your child doesn’t miss out!
