Admissions Arrangements

Choosing and applying for a place at school is one of the most important things we do for our children.

 

As a Catholic school the Governing body sets the admissions policy and allocates places based on the criteria outlined in the admissions policy.

 

Prospective parents are advised to read the admissions policy carefully and to visit the school. It is important to complete all parts of the application form adding as much detail as necessary to support your application. The admissions process is co-ordinated by the Local Authority. Please note that from September 2016 Rotherham Local Authority are accepting phone or electronic applications. This can be accessed through the RMBC website here.

 

Parents/carers also need to fill in the Catholic Primary Additional Information Form available here.

In year transfers will also be dealt with in accordance with the Admission Policy. Please contact the school if you wish to make an in year transfer after speaking to your child's current school.

Admissions Consultation

​

We are consulting on our planned admissions arrangements for pupils applying for places in the academic year beginning September 2026. The consultation will run for 6 weeks from 21st October 2024 to 1 December 2024.

 

This consultation is taking place in line with the requirement to consult on admissions arrangements every seven years. There are no proposed changes to the arrangements currently in place.

 

We welcome your views on our proposed arrangements. We will also be happy to answer any questions that you may have. You can share your views or questions by contacting Fran Preston, Clerk to the Governing Board,  at fpreston@rsjp.org.uk

 

Please ensure that if you want to share your views you do so by close 1 December 2024. After this date the Governing Board will review all feedback to inform their decision on the school’s admission arrangements. Arrangements will be published on the school website by 15th March 2025.
